The therapeutic approach I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most effective forms of psychotherapy available (you can read more about it here or here). CBT is designed to help people make changes in behavior and thinking. Clients are expected to take an active role in this work, and completion of a range of therapeutic ‘homework’ tasks is integral to the process.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety problems in adolescents and adults, particularly Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, all of which have been shown to be particularly responsive to treatment with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also offer help for persons suffering from social anxiety and phobias, including medical procedure phobias (such as fear of getting injections).
Because CBT is so effective, most people with anxiety problems experience significant relief in ten to fifteen sessions. If you suffer from Panic Disorder, you will probably experience a significant reduction in panic symptoms after as little as four or five sessions.
I also help people suffering from Depression and problems with adjustment to new circumstances.
I prefer to have sessions in my office, but I can also provide therapy over digital services such as WhatsApp, Zoom, Skype, and FaceTime.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get it touch. If you need something that I don’t provide, I will do what I can to help you get the help you need.
